Approved Components Program
The approved components program is a service offered by Skype to bring together companies who supply components with the businesses that want to buy them.
ODMs can submit components to verify that they meet Skype certification requirements. If they do, they are added to a published list of approved components.
OEMs and integrators can use this list to source components which already meet Skype certification standards, increasing the chances that their product will pass certification testing. Companies can also identify alternative suppliers for components.
The component verification service is provided as part of our pre-certification services. Fees for this service will vary depending on the complexity of the product and the stage of development.
